The Mind Is A Battlefield

2 Corinthians 10:5

5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

What does being obedient to Christ mean to you? What does obedience to him look like in your daily life? Scripture tells us fear not, be not discouraged, take no thought for tomorrow yet we find our mind racing with thoughts and concerns. Will we survive? Will it work in our favor? Am I good enough? Am I doing enough? What will happen next?

There is a constant war going on and it starts in the mind. We have to take control over our thoughts casting down all negativity, all what if scenario's, plan b's preparing for failure. The thoughts anger cultivate in our mind when someone upsets us to provoke a response. Satan plants seeds in our mind that we must pluck up. His plan is to have you think on a bad situation to long.

Take back control of your mind. How do we do this? By casting them down and replacing them with the word of God. Renewing our mind daily. Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
