Matthew 28:19-20
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
The Great Commission of Christ to his church can be summed up in two words
"MAKE DISCIPLES"
Of every creature, the disciples were to go out and compel people to become as they were. Disciples of Christ. Not only hearers of his commandments but doers of his commandments. Not just followers of Christ but people who would die to themselves and allow Christ to live through them.
That commission still stands today. As disciples we should be out preaching the gospel of Christ, teaching the commandments of Christ, what did Jesus say about it and respond accordingly, teaching them to be obedient to his word not just baptizing people and making them church members. But making them disciples, equipping them with the necessary tools to live a righteous life that they too can one day go out and fulfill the commission making disciples of every nation.
