Psalm 100:5
5 For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
No matter what the present circumstances look like the Lord is good his mercy is everlasting and his truth is to all generations. He always does what is best for us. That does not always feel good to us but it's good for us. His love is steadfast. It's unconditional like the prodigal son we may veer from the path but when we come back he yet loves us takes us back with open arms.
When Jesus addressed the church at Ephesus, He said the church had abandoned its first love (Revelation 2:4), but He had not abandoned His love for the church. He urged the church to remember the position from which it had fallen, repent, and do the works it had done at first (Revelation 2:5).
He is faithful, unfailing and his promises remain intact for us. I urge you today to remember your first love, he has not forgotten about you and is yet waiting with open arms to receive you.
Oh taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him
